Rudeus quickly adapts to his newfound environment, learning the arts of magic through books scattered throughout the house and swordplay from his father – Paul Greyrat. To hone his magical skills, his parents hire a mage called Roxy Migurdia. During this time, Rudeus also meets a girl his age who eventually becomes his closest friend.

During this new life, Rudeus aims to make the most of it while leaving his traumatic past behind him, ensuring he never makes the same mistakes while keeping those close to him safe.
