What do you need for Avalanche?

You don’t need much to play Avalanche. You can play it any time and any place as long as you have:

  • A six-sided die
  • Alcoholic drinks
  • Drinking glasses or cups (one for every player and one game glass)
  • A table (or another flat surface)

Gameplay

Before starting the game, every player fills their cup with an alcoholic drink. Then, put one empty drinking cup in the middle of the table - this will be the “game glass”. The players sit around the table.

One person starts by filling the “game glass” with either a small or large amount of their drink. Then they roll the die. The number they roll corresponds to a rule they must follow (e.g., chugging the game class). After completing the rule, it’s the next player’s turn. Play passes clockwise around the table.

Tip: Remember, it’s always a possibility that you have to chug that game glass during the game. So keep that in mind when it’s your turn to fill the game glass with alcohol. So, if you want to play it safe, only pour a small amount in there.

The game continues until there is only one player left who hasn’t been eliminated. That player is the winner!

Avalanche Drinking Game Rules

After you’ve rolled the die, you must follow the rule corresponding to the number you rolled. Here are the avalanche drinking game rules:

🎲 Number 1

The player does nothing; they pass the glass and the die to the next player.

🎲 Number 2

The player adds more alcohol to the game glass and passes it to the next player, along with the die.

🎲 Number 3

The player must drink up the entire game glass. Meanwhile, the play continues with another game glass. If the player has not finished the game glass by the time it’s their turn again, they lose the game and are out.

🎲 Number 4

The player must take off one item of clothing. After that, they fill the game glass with alcohol and pass it to the next player.

🎲 Number 5

The player can make anyone of their choosing drink the game glass, and the game continues with a new game glass. If the player has not finished the game glass by the time it’s their turn, they lose the game and are out.

🎲 Number 6

The player has to roll the die again! If it’s another 6, they have to fill up the game glass and pass it along. They can choose any player to drink it if it’s already full. If they get another number, they follow the rule for that number.

1. Yahtzee Drinking Game

The Yahtzee drinking game is a great option if you’re looking for a fun way to spend an evening with friends. Yahtzee isn’t usually a drinking game, but adding alcohol can make it more exciting and fun. The basic rules of Yahtzee are simple: each player takes turns rolling five dice, and the goal is to score points by getting certain combinations. However, there are many different ways to score points, so it’s essential to have a good strategy.

How to play Yahtzee drinking game

Before you can play Yahtzee as a drinking game, you must know the rules of the regular game. If you’ve never played Yahtzee before, check out this article for the complete rules for the base game and Yahtzee Drinking Game.

Once you know how to play Yahtzee, you can start adding these drinking game rules:

  1. The cursed ace: When players roll an ace, they must drink.

  2. Yahtzee: When a player rolls a Yahtzee, they can choose another player that has to drink. They also can divide the rolled numbers and split the drinks among however many players they want.

  3. The picky one: Every time a player decides to re-roll the dice, they have to finish their drink.

  4. The 100 points: If one player rolls a Yahtzee for the second time or more, they have to drink a shot.

  5. The waterfall: When a player rolls a small or large street, they start a waterfall. That means when the first player begins to drink, and the next player can’t stop drinking until the first player stops. So all players have to keep drinking until the player before them stopped.

2. Three Man Dice (The Hat Man Game)

Three Man Dice, also known as The Hat Man Game, is a fun drinking game perfect for all parties. All you need to play is a pair of dice, a table, a hat (optional), and alcoholic drinks!

How to play Three Man Dice

You need at least three people to play the game. However, the more people you have, the more fun it is! So, gather around the table and start playing:

  1. Determine the “Three Man” by rolling the dice. The player who’s the first to roll “three” is the Three Man as long no other person rolls “three”. If someone else rolls “three” during the game, that player becomes the Three Man. The Three Man has to wear a hat (optional) during the game to indicate who he is.

  2. All players alternately roll the dice. Each number rolled has a specific rule that everybody has to follow.

Here are the Three Man Dice Drinking Game Rules:

  • Three: The Three Man has to drink and then chooses another player to be the new Three Man.

  • Seven: The person to the player’s left has to drink.

  • Nine: Everyone has to drink.

  • Eleven: The person to the player’s right has to drink.

  • Combination of One and Four: The player becomes the Thumbmaster. They can place their thumb on the table at any point of the game, and the last person to notice and put their thumb on the table has to drink.

  • A double: The player has to give the dice to two other players, which have to roll the dice again.

3. Seven Eleven Doubles

Seven Eleven Doubles is a perfect choice if you’re looking for a fun and easy drinking game! All you need to play is a pair of dice and alcoholic drinks. The game’s goal is to roll a 7, 11, or any double.

How to Play Seven Eleven Doubles

  1. Put a shot glass with beer or any other alcoholic drink in the middle of the table. Don’t fill it up to the top; just enough for 1-2 sips.

  2. The first player rolls the dice. If they roll a 7, 11, or any double, they must assign someone else to drink. The chosen person fills the shot glass with their drink and drinks it. Then, it’s the next player’s turn.

  3. End of the game: The game goes as long as everyone is still enjoying it and as long as you have alcohol left.

Here are more Drinking Game Rules:

  • The reverser: When the player who rolled the dice touches the dice again before the person who has to drink touches their cup, their roles are reversed. So the player who initially rolled the dice and assigned somebody to drink now has to drink.

  • The nose-finger rule: When someone rolls a “three” or “five”, everybody has to put their finger to their nose, and the last person to do so has to drink.

  • The rescuer: A player can “save” a chosen player from drinking by simply taking the glass and drinking it.

  • The clap: When a player rolls a “one”, they must clap immediately. They have to drink if they forget or are too slow (more than 5 seconds).
