Bonus: Rules for “Ring of Fire”
A fun twist for “Ring of Fire” is to develop rules for each card. If you’re playing with a group of friends, try to create rules specific to your group’s personalities and inside jokes.
If you’re looking for inspiration, here are some fun rules to add to your game:
1. The “Speak in accents” rule
Whenever a player picks a card, they must speak in an accent of their choice until the next player picks a card. This can lead to some hilarious moments and add an extra game challenge.
2. The “Mustache” rule
Every time players drink, they must draw on a fake mustache using their finger. If they forget to do so, they have to drink again.
3. Truth or Dare
Players must choose between answering a truth question or completing a dare when they pick a card. The rest of the group can create creative and embarrassing questions and dares to make the “Ring of Fire” game more interesting.
4. Impersonate a celebrity
Players must impersonate a celebrity whenever they drink until the next player picks a card. This can lead to some hilarious and cringe-worthy performances.
5. Non-dominant hand
Every time a player drinks, they must use their non-dominant hand to hold their drink. This can make the game more challenging as players struggle to coordinate their movements.
6. The “No Names” rule
Players cannot call each other by their first names throughout the game. If someone slips up and mentions a name, they have to take a drink.
7. The “Invisible Drink” rule
Players must first mime pour and drink from an invisible glass whenever they have to drink. Forgetting to do this results in having to take another drink.
8. Sing, donβt speak
Each time a player has to answer a question or make a comment, they must sing their response instead of speakingβfailure to do so results in a penalty drink.
9. The “Animal Sound” rule
Before drinking, a player must make the sound of an animal of their choice. If they repeat an animal sound that has already been used or cannot think of one quickly enough, they have to take another sip.
10. Continuous Eye Contact
When taking a drink, the player must maintain eye contact with another player of their choosing until the drink is finished. Breaking eye contact means they must start their drink over.
“Ring of Fire” is a popular drinking game that can lead to many hilarious and memorable moments with friends. Remember to always drink responsibly and never pressure anyone into drinking more than they are comfortable with.
Have fun creating your own rules and adding personal touches to the game, but also be mindful of everyone’s limits. Cheers! π»
