Here’s a list of the best card-drinking games for couples that are easy to learn and perfect for a romantic, fun evening.
1. Kings Cup
A list of drinking games wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the classic Kings Cup. This game is perfect for couples who want to add laughter and fun to their date night, and it’s just as easy to learn!
How to Play Kings Cup
Playing Kings Cup with your partner is easy. All you need is a standard deck of cards, your favorite drinks, and fun-loving energy. Here’s how to play:
1. Spread out a deck of cards on the table surrounding an empty cup.
This is what you’ll use to play the game. All cards should be facing down.
2. Decide who goes first.
Play rock-paper-scissors, flip a coin, or let the person who last spilled a drink go first.
3. Take turns drawing cards and follow the rules.
Each rule corresponds to a specific card or suit. This is where the fun starts! Here are some examples:
- Ace: Waterfall - Both players drink continuously until one decides to stop.
- 2: You - Choose the other player to take a drink.
- 3: Me - Take a drink yourself.
- 4: Whores - Your partner drinks.
- 5: Thumb Master - Whenever you put your thumb down, the other player has to do it, and the last person to do so drinks.
- 6: Dicks - You drink.
- 7: Heaven - Both players reach for the sky, and the last one to do so drinks.
- 8: Mate - Both players become drinking buddies. Whenever one drinks, the other does too, and vice versa.
- 9: Rhyme - Say a word, and the other player must think of a word that rhymes, going back and forth until someone messes up and drinks.
- 10: Categories - Choose a category, and both players take turns saying something that fits in it—the player who can’t think of anything fast enough drinks.
- Jack: Make a Rule - Create a rule that both players must follow for the rest of the game.
- Queen: Questions - Ask each other questions, and whoever doesn’t answer a question with another question drinks.
- King: Pour some of your drink into a shared cup. The person who draws the last king must chug whatever is in that cup!
4. Keep playing until all the cards are drawn.
The person who draws the last king must chug the cup in the middle, and the game ends.
Kings Cup Cules
Players do different tasks depending on the cards they pick. And that’s what makes Kings Cup exciting!
It is one of the best couple card games around since players never know what rule will come up, which keeps the game tense and unpredictable.
Here are some special Kings Cup rules to make your game more challenging!
1. No Laughing
If you laugh at any point during the game, you can’t show your teeth! If you show your teeth, you must drink.
2. Strip Kings Cup
If you or your partner say each other’s name at any point during the game, the one who said the name must remove a piece of clothing!
3. Buffalo Club
The Buffalo Club rule requires players to hold their drinks with their non-dominant hand. If you or your partner catch each other holding drinks with the dominant hand, the one who broke the rule must drink!
4. Compliment Time
Every time you or your partner tells each other to drink, you must compliment the other player. The one who fails to give a compliment must drink!
5. No Phones Allowed
If you or your partner touches your phone during the game, the one who broke the rule must take a sexy selfie on their phone and send it to the other player!

2. Fuck You Pyramid
If you and your partner have a competitive streak, Fuck You Pyramid will be perfect for your date night. This card game is simple yet entertaining, making it a popular choice among couples.
It’s all about nominating each other to drink based on taking turns flipping cards on the table, which are laid out in a pyramid formation. Ready to make your partner drunk and get them “fucked”?
How to Play Fuck You Pyramid
When playing Fuck You Pyramid, you only need a deck of cards and a lot of alcohol to get started. Be sure to shuffle the deck well before beginning the game!
1. Shuffle the deck of cards well!
Place the cards face down on the table in a pyramid formation. There should be four layers, with four cards on the bottom, three cards on the next, two cards, and just 1 card on the top.
2. Do a toss coin to determine the dealer between the two of you.
The dealer will turn over the leftmost card on the bottom layer of the pyramid to start the game.
3. Both players can place cards on the table with the same suit/value as the revealed card.
Whoever places their card first gets to say “Fuck You, Player X,” and whoever fails to place their card must drink. The number of drinks for each pyramid layer is as follows:
- Bottom layer: Drink once
- Third layer: Drink twice
- Second layer: Drink three times
- Topmost single card: Take four sips from your drink (basically drinking the entire glass!)
4. Keep playing until all the cards are flipped.
The game ends when all the cards have been flipped over and players have taken their corresponding drinks. The player with the most remaining cards at the end of the game wins and can ask their partner to do any action they wish!
3. Strip Poker
Ready to take the fun up a notch? Strip Poker is the perfect game to play with your partner on date night if you’re ready to get a little naughty.
How to Play Strip Poker
The rules for Strip Poker are pretty similar to those in a regular Poker game. You need a deck of cards and try to wear as many clothes as possible.
1. Choose a game to play
Pick your favorite variation of Poker, such as Texas Hold’em or Five Card Draw.
2. Lay out the rules for stripping
Before starting the game, agree on how much clothing will be removed when a player loses a hand. This could vary from one piece of clothing per hand to a more gradual removal of clothing.
3. Shuffle and deal the cards.
Shuffle the deck well, and have the dealer distribute five or seven cards to each player (depending on which game you choose).
4. Play as usual.
Play Poker as usual, but instead of betting money, remove an item of clothing (or multiple items if agreed upon) for each hand lost.
5. Keep playing until someone is naked.
Continue playing until one player has lost all their clothing. The winner can then decide what happens next!

Famously known as a casino game, Blackjack is a fun and easy card game to play with your partner. It’s a great way to add friendly competition to your date night!
How to Play Blackjack
The aim of Blackjack is to beat the dealer by getting as close to 21 points without going over. Here’s how you can play this game with your partner.
1. Set up the game.

- Ace: 1 or 11 points
- Jack, Queen, King: 10 points
- Remaining Cards: number of points = number on the card (Ex. Card 3 = 3 points)
4. Compare hands with the dealer.
After both players have finished, the dealer will reveal their second card. If they have a higher score than the non-dealer player without busting, they win.
