How to Play Three Man Dice

Playing Three Man Dice is easy! To get started, here’s what you’ll need:

• 2 dice
• Loads of beer or any other alcohol
• A table or flat surface
• A hat (optional) for the Three Man

1. Determine your Three Man. 

One by one, each player rolls a dice. The first player to roll a ’three’ becomes the Three Man, and they will have to wear the hat when they’re the Three Man. 

2. Roll the dice and drink!

Your Three Man starts the game by rolling both dice. The sum of the two numbers will determine what happens next.

• 1. Three: Three Man drinks (and then chooses another player to be the new Three Man.)
• 2. Seven: The player to the left of the roller drinks.
• 3. Nine: Everyone drinks.
• 4. Eleven: The player to the right of the roller drinks.
• 5. Combination of one and four: The roller becomes the Thumbmaster. They can place their thumb on the table at any point in the game; everyone must race to do so. 

The last player to do so drinks! The Thumbmaster changes each time any player rolls 1 and 4.

• 6. A double: The roller gives the dice to two other players of their choice. They roll again. Both have to drink as many times as they roll. The dice are returned to the original roller, and the game continues.

3. Keep going!

After the Three Man rolls, play continues clockwise. Players continue to roll and drink according to the numbers rolled until someone else rolls a ’three’ and becomes the new Three Man.

1. Swap drinks for shots. 

Instead of drinking beer or any other alcohol, use shots as your drink of choice. Be prepared for a wild and crazy night!

Apart from the basic rules, you can create your own dice drinking rules and add them to the game. Here are some ideas to get you started: 

• 1. Five: The player who rolled the ‘five’ gets to choose a word. Going clockwise, each player has to say a word that rhymes with it. The first one who runs out of rhymes drinks!
• 2. Eight: Drink with your non-dominant hand.
• 3. Combination of one and one: Everyone takes a drink.
• 4. Five: Take a drink!
• 5. Combination of one and five: Become the Nosemaster. Touch your nose at any time, and others must follow. The last to do so drinks.
• 6. Six: Players of the opposite sex drink.
• 7. If the dice fall off the table: The player who rolled it drinks!

 This rule adds a fun twist to the game and keeps players on their toes. With these variations, you can customize the game according to your preferences and turn it into the ultimate dice drinking experience.  

3. Give dares to whoever becomes the Three Man.

Make the game even more exciting by adding dares or challenges to whoever becomes the Three Man. It could be anything from singing a song, doing a dance, or taking a shot. Need some ideas? Here are some examples:

• Call a parent or a guardian and tell them you’re expecting a baby.
• Take a shot of hot sauce or eat a spoonful of mustard.
