How To Play Reverse Charades
The rules are simple! This game is all about teamwork, so gather your friends and family together before you begin.
1. Split the group into teams: As in most other games, you have to split up into groups first. You can either decide randomly or you can just choose the groups!
2. Scoring: Agree among the other players on a goal score for a team to be declared winners. One correct guess equals one point/score for the team.
3. Minutes per round: Decide on the number of minutes given to each acting team per round. They’re usually given one to two minutes per round to act out the word that the other teams have chosen for them.
4. Guesser and acting team: Each round, each team picks a guesser from their players. The other teams will give the word or phrase to act out to the other members of the acting team.
Using teamwork and creativity, they should paint a picture and act out as a team to help the guesser guess the word without using words and sounds, just actions.
5. Point deductions: If a team member is caught mouthing or coaching words/answers to the guesser of the team, it entails a one point deduction.
6. The winner: The team who is able to reach the goal score wins but you can play without counting or keeping score and just go on and on until you get tired!
Reverse Charades Rules
Playing this game is easy! But before you get started, here are a few rules to keep in mind:
- Split your teams into an even number of players.
- In each team, pick a guesser who has to guess the Charades idea. The guesser has 1 minute to get as many guesses right as possible!
- No speaking aloud during the game! As soon as the timer starts, the rest of the members of the team have to act out the word.
- Pantomime, draw, and gesture all you want! Be creative with your hints — the more outrageous the better.
- The team gets a point for each correct guess by the guesser.
- The team with the most points at the end of the game wins!
