How To Play “Reverse” Charades

The rules are simple! This game is all about teamwork, so gather your friends and family together before you begin.

1. Split the group into teams: As in most other games, you have to split up into groups first. You can either decide randomly or you can just choose the groups!

2. Guesser and acting team: Each round, each team picks a guesser from their players. The other teams will give the word or phrase to act out to the rest of the members.

Using teamwork and creativity, they should paint a picture and act out as a team to help the guesser guess the word without using words and sounds, just actions.

3. Scoring: The guesser has a limited amount of time to guess the word or phrase. If they get it right, their team gets a point! The members of each team should alternate being the guesser and part of the acting team to keep things fair.

The team with the most points at the end wins!

Reverse “Charades” Rules

Playing Reverse “Charades” is easy! But before you get started, here are a few rules to keep in mind:

  1. Split your teams into an even number of players.
  2. In each team, pick a guesser who has to guess the Charades idea. The guesser has 1 minute to get as many guesses right as possible!
  3. No speaking aloud during the game! As soon as the timer starts, the rest of the members of the team have to act out the word.
  4. Pantomime, draw, and gesture all you want! Be creative with your hints — the more outrageous the better.
  5. The team gets a point for each correct guess by the guesser.
  6. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins!
