Playing games like these helps us let go of the mundane stuff we face every day. It is also a good way to learn more about people you hold dear or people you just met.
Truth questions can often seem way out of bounds, just be sure you are ready to fire back when it’s your turn to ask the questions. As long as you play by the Truth or Dare rules and stick to them, you will no doubt have fun.
Here are some of the best truth questions to ask
1. When was the last time you lied?
It doesn’t matter if the lie is huge or small. Admitting to your friends that you can lie about some of the silliest things can be a good reason to bond.
2. What are your biggest hopes and dreams?
At one point in a person’s life, this question must have popped up. It is a very existential question and would reveal much about the person who answers it truthfully.
3. When was the last time you got blackout drunk?
Teens and older have probably had this experience once or twice before. Share your craziest blackout stories. It’s a fun way to connect to others and learn how well they handle their alcohols and how much sense of humor they have.
4. Would you ever consider polygamy?
It’s one thing to have a relationship with one person, but with multiple people, consensually? Now, that takes a different breed of person.
5. Do you have a talent that almost no one knows about?
Don’t be shy. It’s intriguing to learn about the weird or uncommon things people can do, but keep as secrets. You could be shocked to find out that your friends have the same talent as yours.
6. Do you have a celebrity crush? Who?
We all have our own celebrity crushes, which we could bond over or disagree on. Whatever the case may be, revealing this tidbit will always spark a conversation.
7. Do you have fetishes, what are they?
Now, this is a gamble. If your fetish is too far out there, then you might alienate everyone. However, if what you’re into is just silly and weird, then it could be just fun to share it. Who knows? Maybe you share the same fetish with someone in the group and form a unique bond.
8. What is the one thing you wouldn’t want your parents to know about you?
We all have something we are ashamed of, but the secrets or mistakes we couldn’t share with our parents are in a totally different class. For most of us, our parents are our moral compasses. They are the ones who showed us the right and wrong way of doing things, so it could be particularly hard to admit serious stuff to our folks. But it shouldn’t be so hard to share these with your friends.
9. What is the most illegal thing you’ve been involved in?
Either by chance or by choice, we’ve all had our brush with things illegal. Now, the depth or severity of the said activity is what separates the sheep from the wolves.
10. Can you tell us about your insecurities?
It’s a very human thing to doubt ourselves. Even the most confident people have at some level, an insecurity they nurse. Bringing feelings like these into the open sheds light on how each and everyone handles the dark inside each and every one of us.
11. What do you consider the worst mistake you made in your life?
We all have regrets and we all wish we had a time machine to rectify these mistakes. It’s when we look back at the “if I only” and “maybe if I did this or that” moments that really make us appreciate opportunities that come our way.
