How to set up “Beersbee”

Setting up “Beersbee” is simple and takes only a few minutes. All you need is:

  • Two poles or sticks, preferably around 5 feet tall
  • One Frisbee
  • At least four players (two on each team)
  • An empty can or bottle for each team
  • A playing field, backyard, or beach area

Now it’s time to set the game up:

  1. Set up the poles at least 20 feet away from each other. We recommend between 20 to 30 feet, depending on the playing space.

2. Place an empty can or bottle on each pole. Make sure they are secure and won’t fall off easily.

3. Divide players into two teams, with two players on each team. Decide which team will start the game first.

DIY “Beersbee”: How to make “Beersbee”?

Don’t have a “Beersbee” set? No problem! You can easily make one with materials you might already have at home.

You can use broomsticks, PVC pipes, tree stumps, or any other tall object as poles. For the can or bottle, you can use an empty soda or beer can, a water bottle, or even a baseball cap.

A Frisbee can be DIY-ed as well if you don’t have one. You can use a paper plate or cut out a circle from cardboard and decorate it with markers.

How to play “Beersbee” Drinking Game

The objective of Beersbee is to knock off the opponent’s can or bottle by throwing the Frisbee at their pole. Divide into teams and decide which team will start the game first.

1. The offense team goes first.

The first player on the team throws the Frisbee towards the defending team’s pole. If they hit the pole and the bottle or can falls off, they can score points depending on the following:

  • 1 Point – Hitting bottle by hitting the pole.
  • 2 Points – Hitting bottle directly without hitting the pole.
  • 3 Points - Hitting the bottle directly and the defense team failing to catch either the Frisbee or the bottle.

2. The defending team tries to catch or intercept the Frisbee before it hits their pole or knocks off their can/bottle with the Frisbee.

  • If they successfully catch the bottle before it falls or hits the ground, a point is deducted from the offense team’s score. If they catch both the Frisbee and the bottle, the offense team gets 0 points.

3. Switch sides!

Once a team from either side reaches 6 points, the teams switch sides, and the defending team becomes the offense team.

4. Winning the game

The first team to reach exactly 21 points wins! If a team goes over 21, they go back to 13 points and continue playing until one team reaches exactly 21 again.

“Beersbee” Drinking Game Rules

“Where does the drinking come in?”, you might ask. Well, here are a few variations to add the tipsy twist to this already fun game:

ðŸŧ 1. Drink every time your team scores

Each time your team scores, everyone on the opposing team must take a drink. This rule encourages more strategic and competitive gameplay.

🙅‍♀ïļ 2. Drink every time the Frisbee hits the ground

If the Frisbee touches the ground, the offense team must take a drink before continuing the game. This rule can make players more cautious with their throws.

ðŸĪŠ 3. Drink every time someone on your team gets hit by the Frisbee

If a player gets hit by the Frisbee, they must finish their drink. This rule adds a fun element of surprise and unpredictability to the game.

ðŸđ 4. Always have a drink in your other hand

All players must always have a drink in one hand while playing. If you put your drink down or spill it, you must finish it and get a new one. This rule ensures that everyone is constantly hydrating while having fun.
